Exercise: define depression.



Depression is an adjective because it is always doing something and motivating you to do the very least, at the exact same time.

Depression is darkness on the sunniest of days.

Depression is the gloomiest of skies,

Depression is all the dark colors on the spectrum,
If depression had to be one color, it would definitely be gray.

Depression is a combination of unpredicted weather forecasts,

Depression is sadness that lingers,

Depression is that one friend that you never invite in but it always manages to come thru,

Depression is loneliness in a room full of people,

Depression makes everything harder,

Depression comes in waves,

Depression isn’t fair,

Depression isn’t a respecter of persons,

Depression isn’t discriminatory,

Depression isn’t considerate,

One day you feel completely free from it and the next day, you become consumed.

Depression is exhausting,

It’s like you could sleep for three days straight and still wake up tired.

Depression is a long lasting Civil War,

Imagine being at battle with yourself and sometimes not even knowing what you’re fighting for.

Depression becomes upset with success,

Depression tries to convince you that nothing great will ever happen and especially not for you, next.

Depression plays entirely too much.

Depression can try all it wants.

Let’s just work really hard to never (ever) give up.
